About Us

We're Charlotte and Shai Tzabari, founders of Olive My Pickle and now our retail store, The Pickle Factory. It's a fun and vibrant place celebrating all things pickles!

After 14 years of bringing fermented foods to our customers through farmers markets and online, we opened in 2024 as a big THANK YOU to our local community and pickle lovers everywhere. Rooted in six generations of tradition, we created The Pickle Factory to be equal parts corner variety store, better-for-you snack shack and family-friendly neighborhood hang out.

Our pickle roots run deep. 

Seated left of the bride in this portrait is Bubbie Miriam, Shai’s great-great grandmother and the first known generation of our family’s pickle recipe. Her daughter Rebecca (the bride) would later flee Bulgaria during WWII, emigrating to Israel where she would pass down the recipe which today is Olive My Pickle’s #1 selling Kosher Dill Pickles.

A legacy of six generations of pickles is what built Olive My Pickle and its what continues at The Pickle Factory. And although we’ve got plenty of fermented sauerkrauts and probiotic-packed pickles, our store is about so much more...
